A passionate advocate for dental health, Dr. Esther Lee started her journey into dentistry when she became a ULEAD scholar at the University of Louisville (UofL). ULEAD (University of Louisville Early Admission to Dentistry) is a distinguished program that offers early admission to high school seniors who demonstrate a commitment to lifelong dentistry. At UofL, she graduated with a major in Biology with a focus on Subcellular/Genetics and a minor in Asian Studies.
Her education in the dental field continued at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. During this time, she participated and presented her research on dental occlusion, served as Newsletter Chair for LASDA (Louisville American Student Dental Association), and volunteered through Global Health Outreach (GHO) by providing dental care to the local communities of Ecuador and Honduras.
After receiving her doctorate, Dr. Lee moved several times due to her husband's career path and practiced general dentistry in Tennessee, Kentucky, and Kansas. By practicing in various settings, Dr. Lee gained valuable knowledge in clinical skills and patient experience which helped solidify her dental philosophy in oral care. Her dedication and desire to become an integral member and serve the Kansas City community led her to River Market Dental. Outside the clinical setting, Dr. Lee is a member of the American Dental Association, participant in the American Academy of Clear Aligners monthly study club, and freelance editor for dental-related articles.
During her free time, Dr. Lee enjoys eating out at local restaurants and exploring the parks with her husband and two dogs, Teddy and Miso.
